Provides project and administrative support in the areas of medical staff activities as directed by the Supervisor and Director and President of the Medical Staff. Provides coordination and management of medical staff office functions. Handles director-level administrative support and oversight of general office management functions. Schedules meetings, records and tracks meeting assignments, takes meeting minutes and prepares files.
EDUCATION: High School diploma required. Additional education in a business and/or health-related field strongly preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: None required.
SKILLS: Highly proficient with computers and the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Strong organizational and administrative skills, including excellent English grammar and written/verbal communication experience. Ability to work on several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, ensuring positive outcomes and deliverables. Strong people skills, with the ability to interact in a friendly, effective manner with internal customers at various levels in the organization, as well as external education providers. Effective management skills, including the ability to gain cooperation and assistance of others. Ability to coordinate projects, including development of work plans, execution and implementation of results. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Knowledge of medical terminology highly desirable.
Six or more years of clerical and administrative support experience supporting multiple individuals, including very strong computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Four years of project management and coordination experience
Strong customer service orientation
At least two years working in a healthcare environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to travel and/or move around the hospital. May include sitting for long periods of time. Requires the ability to speak clearly, listen effectively, and develop and communicate written materials and presentations. Extensive use of hands for writing and use of computer. Moderate physical effort (able to lift/carry up to 20 lbs.)
