JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant - Human Resources LOCATION: Senate House DEPARTMENT: Human Resources WORK SCHEDULE: Days (Monday - Friday 8AM-5PM - No weekends or holidays) WORK TYPE: Full Time (1.0 FTE)
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing advanced administrative secretarial support for the Human Resources Department. This position functions as an integral member of the Human Resources team.
Reports to the Manager of Human Resources.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Demonstrates advanced administrative skills (computer/word-processing, spreadsheet and scheduling skills). Demonstrates advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Demonstrates organizational skills and competence in written, oral, and electronic communication skills (interpersonal/communication and technological effectiveness competencies). Demonstrates the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality. Demonstrates advanced administrative skills (presentation design, report preparation with formulas and graphics in excel software). Demonstrates advanced understanding of principles and department/organizational practices and policies with the ability to carry out assignments independently. Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple projects and work independently.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree in Business, Secretarial or related field preferred. Minimum two to three years administrative/secretarial experience required. Experience supporting a Human Resources department is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment.
