Physician shall provide professional medical services in Pediatrics to patients of the Practice Group at the Offices located in Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Brevard, Lake, Indian River, Volusia, and Polk Counties. Physician will provide professional medical services in Pediatrics to inpatients and outpatients of CHA hospital-based facilities, Nemours, CHA, PMSI, NCH, and other Approved Providers. Physician will diligently work to expand Physician’s medical practice in Pediatrics. Physician will perform, review and/or interpret those Pediatric procedures, studies and other services consistent with Physician’s training and Medical Staff privileges at NCH and as otherwise required by Physician’s duties hereunder. Physician shall maintain and complete all patient medical records utilizing CHA electronic health record or an alternative approved health record in accordance with applicable bylaws, policies and procedures of CHA. Physician agrees to document patient visits in accordance with federal, state and payer regulations. Patient encounters and visit services documentation will be completed timely in accordance with CHA and Practice policies. Physician shall complete Office fee claim encounter or billing slips in accordance with CHA and Practice policy. Physician will cooperate with CHA in the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Practice, including coordination with the central billing function, ordering of supplies, production and organization of records and other duties as necessary to assure the efficient operation of the Practice. Physician shall exercise Physician’s best efforts to assist CHA with Practice performance improvement and other initiatives to promote, develop and maintain the Practice, achieve patient satisfaction and growth and in connection therein shall participate in networking, community education, and other reasonable marketing activities as requested by CHA and in accordance with CHA policies and procedures. Physician shall assist CHA in the investigation, documentation, and resolution of any issues related to peer review, licensing, accreditation or and other regulatory agencies relating to Physician’s duties, the provision of Pediatric services within CHA, the Office, the Practice and/or the Practice Group. Physician will assist CHA in the recruitment of additional professional staff members and development of procedures and measures for quality management. Physician shall attend meetings that are reasonably scheduled by the CHA Practice Administrator, CHA Medical Director or CHA Council of Managers Council unless otherwise excused in advance by the scheduling party. Physician shall follow the applicable clinical and non-clinical Quality and Safety system practices, parameters, standards, and guidelines outlined by Nemours and CHA.
