M Health Fairview has an exciting opportunity for a Physician Scheduling Coordinator at the M Health Fairview Heart Care Clinic located in Maplewood, MN.
The Physician Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for overall communications, clerical functions, receptionist duties and scheduling of allprocedures at the Control Desk.
As a member of the Heart Clinic's scheduling team, the main responsibility of the Scheduler is receiving incoming calls to schedule both cardiology clinic visits and non-invasive testing. This role will include appointment scheduling via telephone as well as partnering with providers to help manage their Epic templates and Outlook calendars, collaborate with nursing teams to coordinate appointments.
This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours pr two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening.
Facilitates communication at the CVIC Control Desk to ensure that the appropriate information is directed to the appropriate person or departments;
Schedules CVIC cases to ensure the cases are scheduled accurately and efficiently for maximum room utilization, and that information is passed onto all appropriate persons and departments;
Assist with department activity to ensure efficient customer flow;
Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards;
Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements;
Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned;
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Medical Assistant or Medical Secretary or Unit Coordinator preferred.
