The Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) is currently recruiting for 1 General Duty Dentist to work in each of our facilities located at: Fort Rucker Alabama; Montgomery Alabama; and Tuskegee Alabama. NOTE: This is an Open and Continuous Announce and will remain open. The 1st review will be Monday, February 8, 2021 and weekly on Friday's thereafter. The Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) is a consolidated healthcare system that includes VA Medical Centers in Montgomery and Tuskegee Alabama as well as Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) in Dothan, Alabama, Ft. Rucker, Alabama, Monroeville, Alabama, Columbus, Georgia and Montgomery, VA Clinic. The primary duty station for these positions will be: Fort Rucker, Alabama; Montgomery, Alabama; or Tuskegee, Alabama. NOTE: The incumbent will be required to work on site at the other locations as required. NOTE: Highly qualified candidates may be eligible to receive a recruitment or relocation incentive. NOTE: Candidates may be eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) A staff dentist must have knowledge in dentistry to administer dental treatment to include evaluations, prophylaxis, radiographs, dental health education, fluoride treatments, sealants, composite and amalgam restorations, crowns, extractions, some endodontic and simple periodontal procedures. Staff dentist will provide clinical guidance including patient treatment, four-handed dentistry, infection control, OSHA guidelines, x-rays and oral health education, knowledge and application of HIPPA/security regulations, and in compliance with VHA policy.
