The Breast Center Receptionist, under general supervision, receives patients, maintains filing system, enters computer data, schedules Imaging appointments, coordinates medical reporting and records; aides in film processing, assists technologists as needed, and other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
The Breast Center Receptionist must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the customers served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. He or she must be able to assess and interpret data about the customer's status in order to identify each person's age-specific needs and provide the service needed by the geriatric, adult, adolescent, child, and neonatal patient population.

Ability to effectively communicate information to staff and patients with quality customer service skills.
Ability to deliver quality customer service to all inclusive of interdepartmental verbal, written communications.
Ability to communicate in user friendly simple laymen terms to assure understanding, accept questions from others and return gracious feedback.
Ability to effectively apply organizational skills assuring patients and staff are well informed, demonstrating telephone, verbal/non-verbal, fax and email etiquette.
Ability to evaluate the demands of physicians, staff and superiors, responding timely and appropriately.
Ability to communicate information concerning patients' pertinent clinical information, assuring legibility and demographic completeness.
