Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), this position is responsible for overall office management and provides a broad range of office support and/or secretarial duties for the CNO and Managed Care Department. The duties and responsibilities includes but is not limited to: answering phones and directing calls, maintaining CNO’s schedule, assisting the Managed Care Department, establishing and maintaining records/files, processing forms/certificates, ordering/maintaining of supplies, copying, packet assembly, typing a variety of standard documents and correspondence, performing basic editing and proofreading functions from rough copies, updating manuals, creating flyers/posters and misc. other general secretarial functions. This position includes the collecting, processing and reviewing of confidential data.
Positive interpersonal skills, Microsoft Office skills and phone etiquette are essential for this position that will interact with the Administration Department, management, employees, medical staff, other facilities and vendors.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
Provides office/secretarial support for the CNO and Managed Care Department.
Maintains daily office management including requisitions, file maintenance, supplies and proper functioning of equipment.
Prioritizes workload and coordinate a multitude of projects safely and competently.
Ability to use a computer and basic software.
Contributes to an effective and safe working environment.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of patient/employee privacy rights. Maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial and other sensitive material in printed, electronic or verbal form, which may jeopardize the privacy of patients, employees and/or agencies.
