Full Time Days
You Will Be Responsible For:
Provides service to patients, department and hospital personnel in a manner supportive to the department operation.
Follows department performance, safety, security policies to assure a safe and secure environment.
Demonstrates effective communication skills with all team members using courtesy and respect.
Maintains personal hygiene and uniform neatness according to department standards.
Accurately fills and delivers requisitions, bulk orders in an accurate and timely manner.
Brings in three rolling trash carts and sets them in designated areas.
Monitors and removes all card board and trash in the rolling trash cart from the kitchen to the trash compactor.
Fills restocks bulk bins, shelves, speed racks and supplies as needed assuring proper rotation of procedures.
Assures accuracy of deliveries as compared to invoices and order sheets, reports any discrepancies to management.
Fills requisitions to the appropriate amount requested and assures accuracy on all paper work.
Compiles and organizes all requisitions, bulk orders, and invoices and turns them in for processing to the Office Manager.
Identifies food spoilage or products coming close to shelf life expiration to management to assure of no waste or loss of product.
Reports any mechanical issues to management in a timely fashion.
Monitors and reports any deliveries that show signs of damage and abuse to management before refusing delivery.
Monitors all deliveries of perishable products to assure sanitation standards are maintained.
Assure that all open products are correctly covered and have a Day In and Day Out sticker affixed.
Complies with rotation techniques, (First in First Out) method and maintains an orderly clean area.
Sanitation is maintained with all Meat, Produce, Dairy and Production Coolers and Freezers, Storerooms to department standards.
Daily sweeping, mopping, wall washing is conducted to maintain sanitation in coolers, freezers, storerooms and required areas.
Identifies cost saving measures in food handling, storing and transporting.
Assures that adequate products are received and distributed in a timely fashion preventing theft or waste.
What You Will Need:
High School or equivalent Required
1 year of food service experience Required
Safe Serve Course preferred
The Receiving Distribution Clerk is responsible for accurately ordering, all aspects of inventory control, receiving, inspecting, rotating, etc. all perishable and non-perishable products/items, etc. within the Food and Nutrition Department.
