Position Summary: The Cancer Center Scheduler is responsible for providing coordination of the providers clinic, procedure, and infusion schedules. The Cancer Center Scheduler is also responsible for representing MultiCare in a professional manner, assisting all patients, customers, and guests of the clinic in person, via the telephone, or electronically, acting as a patient advocate, responsible for the patients introduction to the clinic, determining support service needs, and providing information. This is a clerical position which is the first line representative to the hospitals, ancillary departments, and community providers. This position works as a team member of the clinic. This is an advanced clerical position working in a clinic with multiple providers and support staff. Work situations require a poised individual, courteous manner, discretion, organization skills, and good judgment. Internal contacts include providers, office staff members, hospitals, ancillary departments, community providers, and management throughout MHS. External contacts include patients, scheduling staff from non-MultiCare facilities, insurance company representatives and vendors.
Minimum Requirements: One year of experience in the medical field required, two years preferred.
Education/Licenses/Certifications: High school graduate or equivalent required. Associates Degree Preferred.
