Clinical Informatics Coordinator FT Days Position Summary
Supports clinical practice and clinical practice improvement through the application of information sciences, information processing, and information systems theory. Work with multiple departments to evaluate clinical systems design, work flow and information flow to optimize clinical tools and practice. Design new practices and implement new systems. Provide leadership in the facility and/or region level related to clinical process design and implementation.
Qualifications:THE CLINICAL INFORMATICS COORDINATOR FT DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Masters Degree in Clincal area, Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems or a related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:Five years in a Clinical area.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:5 years of clinical, healthcare systems implementation, and/or experience in progressively responsible positions. Experience in assisting with the implementation of clinical and ancillary systems . Experience with clinical process automation, standardization, and implementation. 2-5 years� experience in an acute operating room setting with demonstrated working knowledge of the clinical areas of Surgical Services, as well as CMS, hospital billing and finance, and materials management environments. Experience with physician preference cards as well as training and education.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Arizona.
REQUIRED COURSE(S) TRAINING:BLS
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION:Certification in Informatics
SPECIAL SKILLS: be able to work under pressure, prioritize and vary work schedule as needed to meet deadlines. Must have critical thinking skills. Requires good interpersonal skills, written and verbal. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and the ability to learn new skills and programs. Strong skills in Business Planning and Project Implementation
