The role you’ll contribute:
The Director of Physician Services under the direction of the Vice President of Physician Services; is responsible for the overall success of Health Partners operations. Provides the leadership, direction, administration and coordination of Health Partners operations. Responsibilities include the assurance that staff adhere to the FHHD Corporate Compliance Plan, to the rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies

You Will Be Responsible For:
- Administer practice and organizational policies and procedures as directed in a consistent and timely manner.
- Formulate, develop, and update general personnel policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with government laws regulations
- Evaluate performance of immediate subordinates and make recommendations for personnel actions.
- Provide assistance to all supervisory personnel, assist them in performing personnel management activities, including merit increases, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
- Screen, interview and hire qualified applicants for open positions.
- Design, recommend, implement, and assist in the orientation programs of the physician practice.
- Determine training and development programs for support staff and arranges such opportunities.
- Assist team members with practice startups concerning acquisitions and new practice development.
- Develop and maintain database of education/training information including cost data for staff.
- Evaluate and recommend facility utilization and improvement including construction and renovation.
- Review yearly new patient information packets/forms. Update forms accordingly.
- Develop or update patient and practice information brochures.
- Coordinate marketing activities pertaining to practice development with the appropriate marketing staff team member.
- Assure compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA, CLIA and ADA.
- Participate actively in safety, infection control, medical records, and quality assurance efforts.
- Ensure compliance with joint commission standards and oversee joint commission reviews.
- Ensure the completion and submittal of managed care contracts to the Managed Care Department.
- Meet as needed with Vice President of Physician Services to update and inform them of any developments and receive instruction regarding operational issues.
- Complete special tasks assigned by Vice President of Physician Services.
- Display a courteous and caring attitude and represents the company in a positive manner to patients, visitors and co-workers at all times.
- Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction by going above and beyond expectations.
- Support the development of staff teamwork by being willing to assist patients, visitors and staff when necessary to facilitate a smooth workflow.
- Maintain the confidentiality of employees' and patients' administrative and medical information, with no infractions.
- Adhere to the FHHD Compliance Plan as prescribed by the federal department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
- Ensure staff adherence to the FHHD Compliance Plan as prescribed by HHS.
- Supports the clinical quality initiatives of Health Partners.
- Facilitates inter/intra departmental participation in quality improvement teams.
- Coordinates the integration of Health Partners into the hospital-wide quality initiatives.
- Acts as internal consultant to Health Partners regarding regulatory compliance issues and quality improvement processes.
- Leads Health Partners in accomplishing the corporate clinical accountabilities identified by the organization.
- Utilizes clinical information systems to provide outcomes management data to support the overall quality program.
- Provides support to physicians and others in the utilization of the electronic health record and the practice management software system.
- Provides training to physicians and staff on the use and modifications to the electronic health record and practice management software system.
- Supports the exchange of information with corporate IT department on the use, updates, and suggestions regarding the electronic health record and practice management software system.
- Oversees the development and implementation of the practices spiritual life plans.
- Coordinates functions concerning physician recruitment activities.
- Travel in and out of state
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Administer practice and organizational policies and procedures as directed in a consistent and timely manner.
- Formulate, develop, and update general personnel policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with government laws regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in health or business administration or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Minimum of five (5) years management experience in a group practice environment.
- Courses in Computer Science and Accounting (preferred)
- CMOM Certification (Required)
