As Senior Corporate Communications Specialist, you will execute internal executive, employee and physician communications for Banner Health in Larimer and Weld counties. This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative healthcare environment. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience in internal communications strategy and execution (within a highly-matrixed organization) and excellent ability to make decisions independently. You are a stickler for accuracy, deadlines and detail, proficient in writing and editing and have a creative side, too.
This on-site role will office in northern Colorado with regular visits to North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, McKee Medical Center in Loveland and Banner Fort Collins Medical Center. You will work closely with Banner???s centralized corporate communications team based in Arizona. Hours will be M-F 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. with some weekend events.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position creates and maintains positive relationships with internal constituencies through the utilization of a variety of media activities and techniques which present the organization???s position and business case to a broad or select group of constituencies. Incumbents are expected to work independently with minimal supervision and have specialized knowledge in Corporate Communications.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Leads special projects or initiative teams that need Corporate Communication support to ensure success. Makes recommendations on tactics or strategies to enhance work group performance.
2. Provide communication support to executive leadership as directed by manager.
3. Serves as a team member on one or more designated internal team(s) to create content specific to that group and serves as Corporate Communication liaison to help coordinate and manage broader internal workflow objectives.
4. Develops and/or incorporates efficient corporate communications and applies standardized and best-practice communication methods to ensure maximum leverage of strategic messaging and other pertinent information across the organization or to selected audiences within the organization.
5. Content created or leveraged by Senior Specialists will support corporate communication goals and objectives that support Banner Health strategies and mission. Senior Specialists apply their understanding of marketing/communications and leverage their critical thinking skills across various platforms that reach numerous and targeted audiences.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT FACTORS
OE - Typical Office Environment: (Accountant, Administrative Assistant, Consultant, Program Manager)
Requires extensive sitting with periodic standing and walking. May be required to lift up to 20 pounds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a strong knowledge of public relations and/or marketing as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor???s degree in communications, business administration, marketing or related field.
Skill level typically achieved through four plus years experience in public relations, communications, and/or marketing. Effective organizational skills and demonstrated experience in diverse, creative writing, strong editing, design and layout capabilities, a basic understanding of website development and internet/intranet communications are required. Sensitivity to public perceptions and their implications/interpretation is required. Effective human relations and communications skills required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Working knowledge of major trends in healthcare. Knowledge and experience with nonprofit marketing communications preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
