Job Summary

The Lead Revenue and Contract Analyst is responsible for supporting the advancement of the overall financial performance of Geisinger Health and its subsidiaries. This role will inform decision making and ensure goal achievement by providing revenue modeling, payer contract analysis, payer profitability analysis and reporting, and strategic pricing analysis. The role provides leadership within the department by mentoring analysts and assisting to develop a high performing team.

Job Duties

• Implements and maintains expertise in decision support software, specifically patient and billing data, payer contracts, and revenue analytics components. 
• Builds and maintains provider payer contracts to accurately estimate net revenue and margins. 
• Prepares contract scenarios and detailed analysis of impacts to revenue and margins in support of contract negotiations. 
• Prepares Clinical Enterprise payer class profit and loss statements. 
• Prepares actionable pricing analytics in support of CDM pricing policy and strategic pricing initiatives. 
• Collaborates with Reimbursement, Revenue Recognition, Revenue Management, and others to identify underpayments, maximize reimbursement, and project impact of shifts in prices, populations, and payer mix. 
• Develops and maintains dashboards, reports, and self-service portals. 
• Assists  with development and maintenance of procedural controls and process documentation. 
• Collaborates with the Financial Analytics and Data Management teams to maintain structural and data integrity within the enterprise software platform. 
• Assists with external vendor coordination for issue escalation and resolution and new functionality implementation. 
• Assists with development and provision of end user training. 
• Participates in special projects, committees, and initiatives as assigned to support finance and/or operational initiatives.
