St. Luke's is seeking a Billing/Recovery Specialist 3 in Boise, Idaho!

This position must be located in Idaho or Oregon!

The Billing/Recovery Specialist is responsible for providing support in the functional areas of Revenue Cycle which includes Billing, Reimbursement and Insurance Recovery. This person ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and related government regulations.

Responsibilities

• Under limited supervision, performs professional level support activities in one or more functional areas of revenue cycle. Uses established procedures to perform assigned tasks.
• May assume lead responsibilities within assigned functional area.
• Performs advanced and/or complex duties requiring independent decisions and extensive, diversified professional experience and knowledge.
• Subject matter expert to staff in continuing education in use of system applications. May assist in new hire orientation, productivity and quality reporting.
• Acts as subject matter expert regarding patient billing requiring expert knowledge of insurance rules, payer contracts and explanation of benefits theories and principles.
• Responsible for duties related to the processing of patient accounts in accordance with company, state, and federal policies and regulations.
• Research and resolve discrepancies with vendors and hospital departments.
• Works with projects and groups to develop or change existing revenue cycle processes to accommodate changes in business model.
• Processes, performs research, identifies errors/discrepancies and makes corrections which may be complex in nature.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 4 years of experience in the functional area or related experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: None
