Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Team Lead within Patient Financial Services covering day shifts and weekends as needed.
Assisting the Supervisor in overseeing the team and effectively managing the department's workflow processes as well as the workload according to degree and amount of delinquency to ensure timely claim resolution.
Communicate with departments on accounts escalated by the account reps for claim errors that require correction prior to claims submission.
Reviews and approves adjustments under 5,000
Communicates directly with team members regarding payor issues or trends
Primary person responsible for accounts that require special processing for the Medicare 72 hour rule
Assist Supervisor in coordinating departmental meetings and training and ensuring that regulatory updates or insurance policy updates are communicated to the account reps
Review of credit balance in order to resolve open account balances
Reporting and escalating issue trends as required to the Supervisor or Manager
Performs other duties as assigned
Candidate must have excellent communication skills; must be able to articulate in a clear and concise manner orally and in written form
Must be proficient in Word, Excel and other Microsoft office applications
Planning and organizational skills that gives the candidate the ability to multi-task, prioritize work, support and accept direction for multiple sources, and perform detailed tasks with efficiency and accuracy
College Degree required
2+ years' experience in Hospital billing for Medicare/ Medicaid preferred
