Description

Program Secretary Opportunity -

Acute Rehabilitation Unit in San Leandro, CA.

Under the direction of the Patient Care Services Director and the Nurse Manager of the Acute Rehabilitation Unit, performs a variety of coordinating functions for Inpatient Rehab. Services to assure optimal outcomes for patients, families and attending physicians.
This position is responsible for providing clerical support and carrying out activities as directed by the facility director and office manager in a professional and ethical manner. The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, and problem solving.

1. Communicate and demonstrate a professional image/attitude for patients, families, clients, coworkers and other.

2. Adhere to policies and practices of applicable professional organizations and client hospital.

3. Contribute to client relations and marketing activities.

4. Handles patient referral process.

5. Provide general clerical support for the program.

6. Performs record keeping and data entry for the outcome system.

Qualifications

Minimum Education, Licensure / Certification and Experience Required.

A. Education

High School diploma or GED or equivalent required.

B Special Skill / Aptitudes

Excellent customer service orientation skills necessary in order to deal effectively with various levels of hospital personnel, outside customers and community groups.
Advanced computer skills and experience working with various software such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint,etc.
Ability to record and transcribe meeting minutes.
Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance systems preferred.
The range for this position will be $15.91 to $26.80 per hour. We would expect those hired into this job would be paid within this pay range, however, certain circumstances may allow us to pay outside of this range.
