Atlantic Healht System is seeking for a Part Time Practice Manager (22.5 hours per week, benefitted) for our Intensivists ICU Care Unit at Chilton Medical Center. The successful candidate will have practice mamagement experience.
Responsibilities
Under general direction, the Practice Manager is responsible for the operational management of physician practice/program to enhance our ability to deliver high quality, safe, affordable patient care within a healing culture to improve the health status of the communities we serve based on PRIDE (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence). The Practice Manager assumes responsibility for ensuring the cost effective delivery of quality patient care while striving for continued improvement in operating and financial performance. The Practice Manager will remain abreast of financial, operational growth and quality goals for the department/practice and strategize for continued improvement in performance. In conjunction with AMG and CMC leadership, the Practice Manager plays a key role in the implementation and enforcement of the practice's strategic plan(s).
Responsibilities will include:
Ensure compliance with all appropriate regulatory agencies, corporate compliance, system protocols and office procedures and communicating policy changes to appropriate staff
Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures and standardize a continuous process improvement
Provide input for the development of budget and financial goals. Gather data and write justifications for personnel, capital expenditures for equipment and supplies. Creates action plans to ensure budget variances are appropriately identified and corrected
Promote and support patient engagement (HCAHPS) and provider engagement initiatives.
Ensure patient, staff and physician satisfaction for all assigned sites to the highest level of excellence
Work closely with physicians to enhance practice operations, maximize reimbursement, collections and contain costs
Assist in monitoring/reporting physician productivity for incentive compensation
Monitor progress toward achievement of yearly goals
Plan for changes in resource requirements including staff, technology and space
Work with all internal credentialing departments for smooth and accurate record keeping of all required documents and contractual relationships
Manage administrative schedule for Medical Director and assist with on-call schedule for both physicians and APPs.
Facilitate communication among physicians, staff and administration establishing a climate that encourages teamwork and promotes collegial collaboration among all team members including regular staff meetings/physician meetings with Practice Director/Administrator to discuss operational, financial and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum three years physician practice management experience in large specialty physician office setting including physician practice billing, coding, quality assurance and experience in relevant area for assigned department/care center/practice.
Proven leadership and change management skills required
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to analyze satisfaction, financial and operational data and develop plans for improvement
Knowledge of laws and medical terminology relating to the management and operations of physician practices
Understanding of financial incentives and requirements of physician practices
Experience working with medical center operations and staff
Strong analytical skills
Excellent organizational and customer service skills
Detail oriented
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Education:
Bachelor's Degree preferred or extensive experience with hospital-based program as a practice manager.
