Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry is seeking to fill a full time/part-time faculty position in the Department of Periodontics. Selected candidate will serve as a faculty member in our Periodontics Department. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, experience in educating predoctoral dental students didactically and clinically. The applicant should have experience in working with a diverse student and patient population, working with patients of all ages, be proficient in periodontic diagnosis and treatment planning, nonsurgical and surgical periodontal therapies, dental implantology, laser dentistry and dental sedation. Responsibilities include serving as a predoctoral and residency faculty member, didactic and clinical teaching, assisting with the management of the predoctoral curriculum and strategic planning activities. Additional responsibilities may include engagement in research opportunities, mentoring, and evaluation of outcomes assessments. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based therapy, current trends, technologies and concepts used in the clinical area of instructions. Rank determined by experience and background.
