Job Summary
The University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, School of Dental Medicine welcomes applications from exceptional candidates for a full-time, clinical track faculty in the Division of Periodontics in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences and Surgical Dentistry as the Director of the Graduate Periodontics Program. The Department of Diagnostic Sciences and Surgical Dentistry is home to four divisions – the Divisions of Periodontics, Endodontics, Diagnostic Sciences, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The graduate program in Periodontics is housed within the division and reports to the Division Chair. The successful candidate will be an outstanding periodontics clinician-educator with interest in, and commitment to clinical care, teaching, and scholarship.
The primary responsibilities of this position include overseeing admissions, providing the curriculum and clinical activities to residents of the Graduate Periodontics program. At this time, there are three residents per class in this certificate and Master’s degree granting program. Opportunities exist to teach in both the predoctoral and graduate periodontics clinics, teach in seminars and didactic classes, research, and patient care. An academic focus is expected and can be developed in any number of areas across school programs and strengths, including dental education research, clinical, translational, or bench research.
