AdventHealth Medical Group Central FL operates over 200 offices, providing compassionate, multidisciplinary care to more than one million patients a year.

The role you’ll contribute: Primarily responsible for the management of a team of Construction Managers, Designers, and support staff as they provide design and construction services to AHMG. Serves as point of contact with Senior Leadership on AHMG FDC projects. Works with dept to ensure consistent and accurate financial data. Responsible for the design of multiple construction projects as assigned, with or without consultants, interfacing with hospital, clinical and facilities staff, management of code compliance, and commissioning of the buildings. Accurate and timely planning, analysis and execution of multiple projects, design to construction projects. Prepares time and cost estimates for assigned projects, tracks projects against proposed timelines, updates project plans to reflect actual progress, and escalated encounter situations to the appropriate area with detailed and accurate information. This role partners closely with AHMG and other AH organizations throughout the project life cycle. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Leads and supervises project managers, designers, and support staff as they provide design and construction services to AHMG FDC. Assigns and oversees the work of the team to assure projects are progressing appropriately, frequently visits job site through construction, follows established procedures of FDC dept.
Utilizes pre-construction understanding of operational considerations to consistently assess project risks and formulates mitigation plans as needed. Successfully develops and updates project budgets as required. Delivers projects in a timely cost-efficient manner in accordance with the approved project scope.
Effectively leads project evaluation meetings and administrative reviews from conception to completion. Manages the negotiation and bidding of the project; develops, manages and delivers a project change control process as needed to ensure project team operates within the scope and change approval process.
Oversees and coordinates the work to assure the project is progressing appropriately, frequently visits job site throughout construction, follows established procedures of the Design & Construction department.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction management or related field AND/OR equivalent years of experience.
Five years’ healthcare project management experience or equivalent 2yrs experience leading senior executive sponsored projects.
Extensive experience in management diverse teams to deliver complex information solutions.
Experience with AHCA, ADA, NFPA and other applicable construction codes and standards.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction management
Proficient in Microsoft Project or similar project management program
Proficient in AutoCAD or similar design software programs
