RN - Surgery-General - Full Time/Days (10-hour shifts)

SUMMARY: The OR Nurse is accountable for providing competent nursing care for patients with common health problems, and is expected to deliver competent patient care to a full patient assignment. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.

Valley Children's Healthcare's multidisciplinary approach creates a dynamic team of pediatric surgeons, both general and specialty-based, working together to generate optimal outcomes. These include complex plastic surgery, neurosurgery, cardiovascular surgery, ophthalmology, ENT, orthopaedics and urology.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Candidate must possess a valid California RN license (or be in the process of obtaining a California license). HeartCode BLS required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position. One year of experience highly desirable and OR and/or Pediatric nurse experience preferred. New grads welcome to apply. Bilingual skills are preferred.

POSITION DETAILS: Full time, 8 x 10-hour shifts per 2-week pay period. On-Call shifts and weekends/night coverage are required on a rotating schedule as needed.

PAY RANGE: New Grad $34.66 - $61.20 / RN II - RN IV $37.09 - $61.20
