We are currently hiring Dental Assistant Advanced for our Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic located in the Skourtes Tower (South Waterfront) Portland, Oregon
Your Role as a Dental Assistant Advanced?
You’ll be an important member of the clinical team, working alongside Students, Residents and Faculty. You’ll be supporting many sides of the practice, greeting and guiding patients while assisting our learners in providing patient care.
You’ll also:
Help ease patients’ anxiety so dentists can perform their work
Assist oral surgery trainees in removing wisdom teeth, placing dental implants, and performing biopsies.
Get training to help monitor and recover patients from anesthesia and sedation
Work in a friendly environment with residents and staff that are passionate in helping patients with complex surgical needs.

Completion of an approved Dental Assistant training program AND two years’ experience as a chair side Dental Assistant in an Advanced Specialty OR Three years’ experience as a chair side Dental Assistant in an Advanced Specialty.
Certification by the Oregon State Board of Dentistry for Radiological Proficiency required or willingness to obtain by start date.
Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) card required from American Heart Association
Completed Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification (DAANCE) or equivalent
Must have worked as a dental assistant in an advanced specialty within the last 5 years
