Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington.

The Accounting Specialist II role will be in charge of specific billing tasks including transactional and collections work. They will work closely with team members to provide support to our internal customer and external sponsors.

Responsibilities

• Invoice distribution and billing issue resolution with sponsors over email and through portals.
• Performs Shared Resources billing and provides customer service support, including troubleshooting issues and updating information in PeopleSoft.
• Leads collection efforts across multiple types of billing processes.
• Execute organizational projects to promote high efficacy in billing team work flow.
• Process sponsor portal integration requests
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school graduation or GED. Bachelor's degree preferred in related field, but not required.
• Minimum of 2 years accounting (bookkeeping, budget, tax, or other related financial) experience.

Preferred:

• Degree in accounting
• Strong technology skills including efficiency with keyboard and mouse as well as experience with desktop applications including MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook.
• Experience in ERP system, especially PeopleSoft.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $22.64 to $32.23 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
