Job Description:

Provides effective leadership and direction for hospital-based Emergency Medical Services program while utilizing effective management principles. Supports the Director of Emergency Medical Services in financial planning, recruitment, hiring, training, promotion, and discipline of staff. Develops goals and objectives, analyzes records and data, and creates effective staffing strategies for assigned shifts. Manages standard operating procedures and quality performance improvement initiatives to ensure effective service provision. Represents the department at hospital leadership functions, community functions, meetings, and activities that promote the department's and facility's mission. Oversees staff development through coaching, mentoring, instructing, assisting, and disciplining as required on assigned shifts. Reviews patient care reports, billing reports, and other required documentation, correcting as necessary on assigned shifts. Ensures compliance with established policies, procedures, guidelines, objectives, medical protocols, safety protocols, and environmental and infection control standards. Assists personnel and others in providing effective care. Delivers exceptional customer service to patients, families, bystanders, other response agency personnel, and all others at all times. Maintains a safe and effective work environment by adhering to all established standards. Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Must have knowledge in operation of emergency and non-emergency Emergency Medical Service [Required]

• Motor vehicle operation [Required]

• Must have knowledge of the practices and principles of EMS leadership [Required]
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
